Admissions

The Southport Congregational Preschool & Toddler Program admits students of any race, color, national, religious or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school term is September through June. Admission to the program is based on a prioritized lottery system. Points are assigned to each family for each year they have participated in the program for each child enrolled. A point is assigned if a family is a member of Southport Congregational Church. Once enrolled, a child and his/her siblings will be given priority over children who are new registrants. No more than six children of the same sex are enrolled in each of the preschool classes. No more than five children of the same sex are enrolled in the toddler class. Participants in the program are notified of their points prior to registration.

Registration

The program year begins in September and continues through May. Registration for current families is in December for the upcoming program year. Church members without children currently enrolled in the program are encouraged to call the Preschool Office at 255-1312 during the third week of October when wait list positions are assigned.

Our waitlist always starts on the second to last Monday in October at 9:00am.  If you wish to be put on our waitlist, please call us at 203-255-1312.  This process is done by phone only -- NO WALK-INS PLEASE.
